The Microfinance project of the Department of Interior and Local Government in Rizal is considered a success, mainly due to the number of beneficiaries of the said program. This project that was spearheaded by the office of Secretary Puno overshot the initial target of 2000 families. Based on the latest figure on the website of the department, the project of DILG served 2800 families which mean that the project has a 144 percent accomplishment rate.

For the said assistance packages, the DILG according to Puno contributed 5 million and this amount was sourced from the savings of the office, and the local government also contributed a counterpart amount of 1.34 million. For the livelihood project, assistance packages were also prepared and these were given to 200 families coming from 100 barangays. The packages are meant to augment the current and existing livelihood programs. The reason for its more than 100 percent accomplishment rate is due to the help extended by the city government of Antipolo. The city government provided training programs for the extra 280 families. The beneficiaries were trained on a number of livelihood activities like candle and soap making.
